Dzidzianna Solska has been reading fortunes from a worn deck of cards and palm lines in a small nook in Cloth Hall since the 1980’s. Nearby vendors recall locals and tourists alike waiting in line, eager to hear a forecast of their future in love and business. The colorfully dressed, eccentric and cheerful fortune teller was a popular public figure and something of a local legend with almost 1,500 likes on Facebook. The fortune telling craft was passed down to her by her mother, also a ‘wróżka.’ Dzidzianna Solska died at the age of 88. Candles now burn in the cranny where she sat, reports Gazeta Krakowska.

The mystical and magical mysteries in Krakow are slowly dying out.
