With its high-quality bookings, Krakow Live Festival has built a reputation as one of the most significant musical events in the city. In 2011, Kanye West and Interpol were on the biggest stages. Aurora, Kendrick Lamar and Ratatat were here in 2015. Last year, the two-day event swelled to over 25,000 people on the grounds of the Krakow’s Aviation Museum where it is held in August, the twilight of summer. The sunset of the summer will be the perfect setting for the recently announced festival headliner: Lana Del Rey.
Entering the scene in 2012 with the album ‘Born To Die,” Lana’s sultry delivery over hip-hop influenced tracks gave her the coveted duality of an innocent/bad girl. On “Honeymoon” which was released in 2015, Del Rey’s California persona produced a more mature series of epic pseudo-love ballads and lead track “High By The Beach.” By the time August comes along, Lana’s upcoming album “Lust For Love” will have been released and the Krakow audience will experience the fresh material.
Lana will join two English artists announced for Krakow Live Festival, the indie-rock band ALT-J and pop singer Ellie Goulding. Concerts are on the 18th and 19th of August, 2017.
Single day tickets are 199PLN and two-day pass are 359PLN. All the information about the festival can be found here.
